Welcome to Moodarc. This Privacy Policy explains how Lokesh Negi ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Moodarc mobile application (the "App") and the joinmoodarc.com website (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

To provide and improve Moodarc, we collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: When you register, we utilize Google Sign-In via Firebase Authentication. We collect your email address, name, and profile picture provided by your Google account.
  • User-Generated Content (UGC): We collect the content you create and share, including text (Chat messages, Mood descriptions, Nudges) and media (photos and short videos up to 15 seconds shared as "Moments").
  • Device Permissions: With your explicit consent, the App requires access to your device's Camera and Photo Library strictly to allow you to capture and upload Moments.
  • Usage and Crash Data: We collect diagnostic and usage data automatically to help us fix bugs and improve performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To operate, maintain, and provide the core functionalities of the App (e.g., displaying your Moods, processing Chats, and sharing Moments with your Archs).
  • To authenticate your account securely.
  • To monitor app stability and fix crashes.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

  • 24-Hour Mood Expiration: Any "Mood" you set (including the visual character/emoji and describing text) is strictly ephemeral. It is automatically deleted from your public profile 24 hours after posting.
  • General Data: Your account information, Chats, Nudges, and Moments are retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and associated data at any time through the App's settings.

4. Third-Party Services

Moodarc relies on third-party services provided by Google Firebase to operate securely and efficiently. These services have their own privacy policies regarding how they handle your data:

  • Firebase Authentication: Used for secure user sign-in.
  • Cloud Firestore: Our database for storing your profile data, Chats, Nudges, and Moments securely in the cloud.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: Used to track and fix app crashes and performance issues.
